The Geography of Our World
Build your geo-literacy, understand the events going on around the world, and become prepared to take on globally-impactful careers
In this course, students explore the various facets of our world through political, economic, physical, and environmental lenses. Topics covered include U.S. physical and political geography, world cultures, mapping technologies, transportation infrastructure, continents and plate tectonics, global issues (like climate change), transportation infrastructure, and global extremes. The course contains 7 total modules, and the curriculum is certified by National Geographic and the California Geographic Alliance. Once students complete this course, they will receive official geo-literacy certificates signed by those organizations. All sessions in this program are activity-based and career-focused, with dedicated discussions to career applications of the topics being taught.
